About this event

The race course will be a loop of approximately 13.5km.

There will be some challenging climbs, swooping descents on a mix of natural single-track and fire road.

Solos and teams will ride as many laps of the course as possible in the 10 hours. One member of the team will ride at a time while the other members recover and prepare for their next lap. Solos will do it on their own, go as fast as you can and try or take your time and enjoy it. It’s your call.

The course will be suitable for all abilities with forest fire roads, flowing single track and more than likely a little bit of mud and sweat thrown in.

Everyone will be allocated a pit area next to the race course so you can organise your kit, bikes, food and keep the craic going.

Entry into the 10 in the Glen is £35pp and will include chip timing, dedicated race pit, t-shirt, medal and 10 hours of racing in this stunning location. There will also be the famous 26 extreme Beer and Burger at the end.

How it works: solos start and keep going on their own bagging as many laps in 10 hours. You can go as fast or as slow as you like take breaks or just keep turning the peddles. Its all about the laps.

Team have one member at a time on the course passing the timing chip onto the next person at the end of each lap like a relay.

You can set your pit up any way you like. It can be a super elite race pit and feeding station or a relaxed BBQ zone……or somewhere in between. It’s your call.

The ‘Pits’ will be 2m x 2m big enough for a small pop up tent and room to set out your camp. The pits will be right on the race course allowing you to pull in after each lap.

Charity: you may want to ride for your own chosen charity or simply ride for your own personal challenge. It’s up to you. If you do what to raise a few funds why not consider supporting some of the worthy causes below.

Who can take part? In short, if you can ride a bike you can have a go. The trails aren’t too technical and most novice bikes will be able to get round. There are no drops, mandatory jumps or very steep sections.

Mechanic, we are delighted to have Chain Reaction Cycles working offering a free mechanic service should you need a tune up or help with a broken part. There isn’t much these guys can’t sort out

What to bring

  • Suitable bike: it’s up to you what you ride. Hardtail Mountain bikes and dual suspension Mountain Bikes will be equally at home on this course.
