About this event
The Gullion Tour hosted by Armagh Down Cycling Club takes place on Sunday the 28th April departing from Newry Shamrocks Social Club (Greenbank, Newry). Registration on the day. This ‘Sportive’ charity cycle has 55km and 95km routes, taking in the Ring of Gullion and Cooley Peninsula.
Each year tour supports a local charity and this year is no different.
All proceeds of the cycle are going to Friends of the Cancer Centre. Minimum donation on the day is £15/€15.
Both routes leave from Newry Shamrocks social club at Greenbank, Newry, with registration from 8.30am and roll out at 9.30am. All cyclists head for The Cooley Peninsula firstly, and then up through Ravensdale. Cyclists opting for the shorter route then travel back to Newry via Meigh. The longer route takes in Jonesborough, Forkill, and Silverbridge, before the run back to Newry. Food and refreshments will be available to everyone at the end, back in Newry Shamrocks.
