This is a shared-use path of high quality 3m wide bitmac.
This NCN route meanders through the whole Park and includes sections of open grassland, Park Centre with its duck pond and amenity block and Rodeing Foot Wood, a more mature section. Look out for a flash of blue from the elusive Kingfisher.
Starting at the main car park at Armour Avenue cyclists have the option of turning left and cycling to Bravallen Road or turning left again half way along to the Leisure Centre. Cyclists may also turn right towards Rodeing Foot Wood and the A26 by-pass. Other intersecting paths in the park can be used to make circular loops however, other paths are less formal and less suitable for shared-use.
From the A26 By-pass take the Ballymoney town exit at the Kilraughts Road roundabout. At the next roundabout take the third exit onto Rodeing Foot and the next left onto Armour Avenue. The entrance to the park is on the right.
This is a traffic free route with the exception of crossing Rodeing Foot at Trolan's garage. Here cyclists should make use of the cycle crossing island. Cyclists using the extension of the route to the Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre should give way to traffic across two laneways.
There are two car parks, one at Bravallen Road, the main one off Armour Avenue. There are toilets at the main car park and a small supermarket close by.
This route has accessible toilet facilities.
