Bicycles on Public Transport

All bicycles are carried free of charge on Translink Goldline Express Coaches only and trains (including the ‘Enterprise’ service). No bikes will be carried before 0930 hours Monday to Friday. There is space for 2 full-sized bicycles on buses in the luggage boot and 4 full-sized bicycles on trains, allocated on a first come, first served basis. Bikes have to be placed in the designated area on trains. Some conditions apply to this service.

On Translink Metro and Glider services, fold-up bikes are allowed only.

For more information, download the Bike It with Translink leaflet here.

Covered, safe parking facilities for bicycles are available at many rail and bus stations in Northern Ireland as part of the “Park and Ride” scheme. For Glider routes, you can consult the Glider route map here to check which bus stations have secure cycling parking.

For more information, download the Translink Park and Ride leaftlet here.
